The Pac-12 Might Be Taking Its Dying Breaths

2023 will be Colorado's final season in the Pac-12, as the Buffaloes have agreed to return to their old home in the Big 12. There are additional rumors of another Pac-12 school possibly soon following CU out the door.

Pair the potentially mutiple exits with the fact that seemingly no channel on linear television wants to show the Pac-12's games already and you can see how the league could be in some trouble.

Colorado isn't necessarily a huge brand loss for the Pac-12 like USC and UCLA were, but its exit shows what likely multiple Pac-12 schools are thinking right now as they look around and see the SEC and Big Ten adding premier brands while their conference is begging The CW to put its games on TV. Every school that would be wanted by another Power Five conference — and it isn't going to be five for much longer — should be looking into an exit strategy.

You may soon be able to watch a Pac-12 Championship Game between Fresno State and Colorado State, assuming you have a subscription to FloSports or Tubi. More dominoes are going to fall soon and they won't be good ones for the Pac-12.
