"It's The NBA, Everyone Does It. It's Like Wine" - Kevin Durant Opened Up About His Role In Getting Marijuana Off The Banned Substance List

I'll take "the least surprising news of all time" for $500 Alex.

I get that people think KD's move to GS was weak and as a result, try to invalidate his titles. I get that he can be extremely online at times. I get that he had burners. But even knowing all that I still never really understood all the hate KD gets. On the basketball side, he's one of the greatest players we've ever seen. When it comes to scoring, I'm not sure there are too many you'd put in front of him. Call me crazy, but this seems pretty decent

Then off the floor, he's basically like the rest of us. He spends way too much time on Twitter X or whatever we're supposed to call it now. He seems like a pretty chill guy and obviously, as he said, is a fan of the plant. You could make the case that he's actually one of the more relatable superstars we have, he just so happens to be tall as shit and insane at the sport of basketball.

It wasn't all that surprising to hear from KD that the entire league smokes. You'd have to be living under a rock to think differently in 2023. So that part of the video wasn't anything crazy to me.

I was more taken aback by him talking about going into Adam Silver's office high as hell and that Silver knew right away. That stresses me out and I wasn't even there. Picturing KD meeting with Silver while being zooted out of his mind is quite the scene. I would have loved to see footage of that meeting because Silver doesn't exactly come off as a big weed guy but then again he did take KD's advice so who knows.

Unfortunately, the narrative around KD is never going to change. People are always going to hate on him, call his rings fake etc. In reality, I say we appreciate one of the best players we've ever seen being so open and honest about things. We don't usually get that, especially on this topic. It's all PR answers and whatnot. At least KD tells it how it is.

P.S.
