Pitt Coach Pat Narduzzi Comes Out As A Communist, Wants To Put A 'Lid' On NIL Deals For Players

It's July 26 and Pat Narduzzi is already making excuses for why Pitt won't be able to compete this year, saying we need an NIL salary cap so bigger schools aren't able to outspend smaller ones. Sounds an awful lot like Communism to me.

How is a cap on NIL any better than the system the NCAA had before? Sure, paying players was technically illegal, but there were still players getting at least close to their market value under the table. Now we're going to artificially suppress their earning potential again so Pittsburgh and Boston College have a better chance to win? I don't think so.

Also, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news to Pat, but here's just a quick list of where the biggest schools are already outspending others: recruiting, facilities, coaching salaries, travel, equipment, academic resources and dozens of other categories. It would be crazy if the schools with the most money ended up being the best college football teams, which has definitely only happened since NIL was introduced.

I'm guessing Narduzzi isn't also in favor of implementing his theory for coaches' salaries. Communism for thee, $6 million a year to go 8-4 for me.

If I were Pat, I'd get on the phone with some Pitt boosters this afternoon and ask them to stop being broke, because NIl isn't slowing down anytime soon and poverty schools like his will be left behind.
