James Maddison Is Awesome And Everything, But Getting Marta Diaz Back Is The Real Offseason Win For Tottenham
Here I was reading up on some soccer preseason stuff, ignoring the Arsenal/MLS All-Star match and remembering the good old days. The days of Tottenham having expectations (failing to meet them, but having them). Then I remembered Sergio Reguilon is back after his loan at Atletico. That also means Marta Diaz is back, which let's be honest, is the reason for this blog. I talked about my heart breaking when he went on loan to Atletico:
And just like that my heart isn't broken anymore. I'm a big Reguilon fan too. There's something about a left back wearing number 3 I guess. Plus the name Sergio Reguilon just has the making of a guy who should be a star. I know there's the whole will Tottenham keep Harry Kane (yes, please) or will they let him go to Bayern, PSG, etc. We've moved on from the Hugo Lloris era. There's Ange Postecoglou taking over as manager. Hell, James Maddison finally come on over. That's awesome. But the real win is getting Marta back to North London:
