This Little Leaguer's Bat Flip Is Without A Doubt A Ten Out Of Ten
I know I am usually the gatekeeper of not being a hot dog and preach good sportsmanship but this right here is pretty sweet. A blast of a home run and an absolute perfect bat flip. All time showman. All time execution. Clinic. He took that pitcher deep and then he let him know, I'm going to let you know about it with a bat flip.
There's been a little bit of a debate here about whether or not Shohei Ohtani's bat flip was awkward.
Listen I have been known to disagree with Max and I had to school him on the ins and outs of the rulebook of basketball.
I'm not going to go as far as to say Ohtani's bat flip was awkward but it did shock me that he showed any kind of emotion. It seems like the biggest superstar in the game is more of a robot than a personality. We already have Trout who's got the personality of a paint can, so it's disappointing to also have Ohtani have little emotion, but it is nice to finally get something like this from him.
Despite our differences, I do think even Max would agree Ohtani can learn a thing or two from this kid about showmanship and execution.
