Bayern Munich Played A Friendly Against Some Poor Group Of Shmucks Called FC Rottach-Egern And Smacked Them 27-0

Pour one out for the fellas at FC Rottach-Egern who had to show up today and lace 'em up against one of the best teams in the world to the tune of a 27-0 loss. No, this was not American football.

All I can find is that Rottach-Egern is a "non-league side", but how non-league are we talking? Wrexham was technically a non-league side in England last year and nearly beat Sheffield United, who was three leagues above them. Is this just a group of guys with day jobs who get together on the weekends and play a little footy?

The worst part is that Rottach-Egern seems to be quite the gluttons for punishment at the hands of Bayern Munich, because this isn't even the first time this has happened. They're down 50-0 on aggregate if you include their 23-0 loss in 2019.

I guess once you've seen Sadio Mané and Serge Gnabry in the preseason, whatever league these guys play in looks pretty easy. I hope that's worth getting your shit kicked in for 90 minutes and being ridiculed worldwide, though.

I will keep an eye on Rottach-Egern this season. I want to see what kind of numbers these guys are putting up against other beer league teams or whoever the hell these guys play.
