Avril Lavigne And Tyga Have Broken Up, Love Is Dead Again

Avril Lavigne and Tyga have called it quits after just four months of dating.

Per TMZ, the couple made the mutual decision to go their separate ways a few weeks ago.

The outlet also reported that there are no hard feelings between them as their relationship simply ran its course.

I love this new style of breakup announcement. "Yea, we broke up, we were just sick of each other. Nothing crazy!" It makes celebrity relationships more relatable. Not every relationship is a full and complete love story, and not every one has a dramatic end. Sometimes you just can't stand the way someone breathes as you sit next to them on the couch, and acknowledging the fact that this is not something you will be able to pretend doesn't bother you, for the rest of your life, is called "being mature." 

Maybe we need to start thinking differently about breakups. They shouldn't become tragic, until we hear that they are. Instead of the "ugh, I'm sorry" response, we start with "Oh, that's great!" until we hear otherwise. How many friends do you know that are relieved when a relationship is over, but feel guilty about it? We should be encouraging all of the happiness in the world.
