Nikola Jokic Dancing His Ass Off In Vegas (And Not Going Home) Proves There's Nothing Better Than Hanging Out With Your Pals

I debated calling Nikola Jokic a liar. All we heard was how he didn't want to go to the parade, didn't want to do anything but go home and watch his horses race, didn't care about the Finals MVP trophy. Instead I realized he just figured out hanging out with your pals is the best thing in the world. It's better than sitting at home. It's 2023, you can watch those horses anyway you want. Instead he caught one good time out with his friends and wanted to keep the good times rolling.

We've all been there. This is especially true with Jokic as a relatively new father. I say this as a father. You catch that sweet, sweet night of no kid concerns, a night's sleep in a hotel or somewhere else even and that high doesn't go away. You start itching to relive the glory days with your pals. Maybe it's a road trip to see your college football team play an away game. I highly recommend that by the way. I know going back home is great, but a road trip to a sweet away game is well worth it. 

That weekend lives in your head. You can't escape it. The next weekend you're sitting at home with Paw Patrol on for the 6th straight episode and dodging toys like landmines. Instead Jokic rolled over to Vegas to keep the parade day going. Even he admitted he turned into a parade guy:
