Davey Martinez Printed Out A Picture To Bring To His Post Game Press Conference To Prove That The Umpires Got A Call Wrong That Cost The Nats The Game

What a weird and wild walkoff for the Astros last night vs the Nationals. You rarely see the out made at home and then the throw to first go off the base runner's head causing a run to score, but we saw it last night and boy oh boy was Davey Martinez not happy with the umpires saying it was a legal play and the runner was in the correct running lane...because he wasn't. Davey KNEW he was right, he knew that he had the rule correct so what did he do? He came with receipts. 

Will Martinez get fined by MLB? Yes. Does he care? Not at all. This is the issues with umpires. They refuse to say they were wrong and stick to their guns even if it is very, very clear that they are wrong. Davey was tired of that and called them out on their bullshit. I respect that move a ton. 

Another bad umpire call costing a team a game, we've seen it time and time again. No the Nats aren't in a playoff race and no this won't cost them a spot in October. But come on man, get these calls right. It seems pretty simple. Is he or is he not on the line? It shouldn't have to come to this but again, respect to Martinez for standing up for his team and shoving it in the face of these awful umpires. He wasn't doing it to show them up, he was doing it to show the umpires that they were flat out WRONG. One of the better manager press conferences we've seen this season. He roasted that umpire and rightfully so.
