Here's Everything New On HBO This Month Including The Alleged Hyper-Sexual Trainwreck 'The Idol'

*NOTE: I ain't calling it Max*

 1. The Righteous Gemstones S3

Follows a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work.

This is one of the funniest series running right now and more people have to watch it. McBride absolutely crushes it and Edi Patterson might be the funniest woman alive right now. I'll be here night of watching alone and you should catch up so that you can be too.

2. Warrior S3

During the Tong Wars in the late 1800s, Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy from China, immigrates to San Francisco and becomes a hatchet man for the most powerful tong in Chinatown

This is one of the more massively under-appreciated series running right now. It's from the same show-runner as 'Banshee', features a bunch of legit martial artists and certified badasses doing some of the coolest fight choreo you're ever gonna see in a TV series. I highly, HIGHLY recommend checking it out. Oh, by the way, it's the brainchild of Bruce Lee and his produced by his daughter.

3. The Idol

The Idol focuses on Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp), an aspiring pop idol who, after having a nervous breakdown that causes her last tour to be canceled, resolves to reclaim her title as the sexiest pop star in America and begins a complex relationship with Tedros (Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye).

This series is worth watching in the same way you might want to observed a scheduled trainwreck. It's had a disastrous production and got absolutely PANNED during it's preview at Cannes. That said, sex sells and there is apparently TOO much of that. So much so that those French weirdos at Cannes thought it went overboard.  I got a full blog on it HERE
