Keanu Reeves Slappin Da Bass Is The Coolest Thing You'll See All Day

What a cool motherfucker.

Keanu Reeves returned to the stage with his old band 'Dogstar' for the first time in over 20 years this past weekend - reminding a LOT of people that he played bass in a band called Dogstar!

Take that, everyone who ever told me that the bass player is always just the lame guy who gets no chicks! John fuckin Wick is a bass player! Neo! The Chosen One!

Keanu told Billboard last month that he was itching to play shows and make music with his friends again, so he called up his former bandmates and got the gang back together - which I'm sure the other guys were THRILLED about. They booked a couple shows and started working on a new album, which is apparently due out soon - and this performance at BottleRock kicked things off!

They sound pretty great in all of the clips I've seen, and Keanu in particular sounds real tight on the bass. I love it! I'd go see em in a heartbeat.

You could check out some of the band's prior music below….

Side note: I finally got around to watching John Wick 4 on my flight to Vegas last week, and while I know a computer screen isn't the way the filmmakers intended for me to watch their hard work come to fruition, I still thought it was fucking phenomenal, and maybe my favorite movie of 2023 so far. I was blown away by the creativity in the action, the world-building, the way the long runtime flew by, and even the way they wrapped things up in this movie.

If you haven't seen it yet - go change that. Best action movie since 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' in my opinion.

Another Side Note: This bass is significantly less cool….

Stick to the Fender p-bass in my opinion.
