Watching Brian Daboll And Joe Schoen Having Fun While Wheeling & Dealing In The NFL Draft Then Somehow Getting BOTH Players They Wanted At Pick 57 Is Boner Fuel For Giants Fans

You know what? I'm calling it now. Trader Dabes is already a better NFL GM than Dave Gettleman. Granted all he did was text Sean McVay. But I guarantee Daboll led with the perfect raunchy joke to loosen up McVay, who I guarantee is wound tight as a drum based on his beard and personality, before selling him on a deal that would end up getting the Giants BOTH players they wanted at pick 57. What a goddamn masterclass by our Coach of the Year.

You also cannot possibly quantify the change in vibes the Giants War Room must have undergone. Two years ago you had Dave Gettleman pissing down his leg before picks while thumbing through his 1000 page scouting binder and Coach Judge mean mugging everyone that made eye contact with him. Now we have Handsome Joe Schoen joking about trading back after their pick by the grace of God fell into their lap and Trader Dabes pumping out optimism when shit looked bleak. 

It's crazy to think that as recently as two years ago the NFL Draft was an annual horror show for Giants fans just waiting to see what team traded up right before them to take their target followed by some sort of absurd reach that ended with every other fanbase and writer to point and/or laugh at the Giants. Now I am actively looking forward to watching the behind the scenes video of the draft instead of trying to convince myself everything will be alright.
