With Jackson Mahomes Exposed as a Garbage Human, Brittany Posts and Deletes Cryptic Quotes About Burning Bridges

You had to know this was coming. And it didn't take long. One day, legal authorities hold a magnifying glass over the events of Jackson Mahomes' sexual assault case:

… exposing him as someone who not only would grab a 40-year-old restaurant owner by the neck and force his tongue down her throat, but also physically shove her teenage employees, belittle them, order them around, and threaten to destroy her business if she or they went public with anything he did. Allegedly. 

And the next day? Brittany Mahomes is heard from. It had to happen. It was inevitable. It's the First Law of Influencer Thermodynamics. When two narcissistic, self-possesed attention addicts are locked in orbit around the same object - Patrick Mahomes - as these two are, they have a gravitational pull on one another. An action by one has an equal and opposite reaction in the other. 

Jackson and Brittany have a symbiotic relationship. They're the Obnoxious Wonder Twins.

So when he's making headlines, even when they're the worst kind of headlines, she simply has to respond:

Source - The wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes reposted some cryptic quotes on her Instagram Story Monday amid Jackson Mahomes’ sexual battery case. 

“As you get older you start to understand the difference between friends and associates, family and blood, business and work, love and lust, want and need. And most of all what’s important and what’s not,” one quote from Matthews’ post read.

A second slide featured a different quote: “Unfortunately, a lot of y’all met me when I lacked boundaries and was a people pleaser. Let me reintroduce myself, I burn bridges as needed.”

Matthews added, “Sheesh” with a clapping hands emoji. 

For starters, can (in)famous people with huge followings knock off this business of deleting their posts? It's an obvious attempt to make people think you said something in the heat of the moment but then had second thoughts. Cooler heads prevailed, and all that. But that grift was exposed about 10,000 celebrity deleted posts ago as just a way to say a thing while claiming you don't really mean it. The social media equivalent of prefacing an insult with "With all due respect …" Or adding the disclaimer, "You're a dick. Well, you're not a dick … per se." Either way, your point was made. Brittany's followers had 1.3 million chances to pick up on her message, and did not miss it. Nothing on the internet is ever truly gone. 

That said, what do we make of this? The only assumption that makes a lick of sense is that she's had it with Jackson's insufferable act and the damage it's doing to her husband. And it's not hard to imagine Jackson feels the same way about her. Only with the very significant difference that she's not facing criminal charges of sexual violence.

And I think it's fair to say that everyone who's sick of two of them and their unbearable public personas and shameless glomming onto Patrick to grow their brands, is hoping this means war. The best kind of war. Where you root for neither side. Like when a fight breaks out between two companies of Orcs, and you just root for massive casualties on both sides. If this one between Jackson and Brittany escalates, we'll all be winners.
