A Bar Promised To Cover Every Open Tab If The Spurs Won The Lottery ... People Go Crazy, Launch Drinks In The Air When It Happened

I mean, of course it was the Spurs. There's a generational talent at the big man spot, the Spurs are going to get the number 1 pick. The only time that doesn't happen is when they are already winning titles. They were due after drafting Tim Duncan in 1997. Been too long since they had some luck, a mere 9 years since their last title. 

I know there's a chance Wemby can be a bust. But this is why you tank. You tank to have a chance to land someone like this and let me tell you, it's ridiculous seeing these numbers come up:

The popular restaurant and bar announced that if the Spurs win the lottery tonight, every open tab will be covered. 

You heard that right: The Roo Pub will pick up open tabs if the Spurs win the No. 1 spot.

"If the Spurs draw the #1 pick, every open tab before the announcement will be on us! This is not including gratuity. This is a deal you don’t want to miss! See you at the Roo," announced the restaurant.

No one pays in cash anymore. That's a HUGE break for free drinks. I wonder how many people here are celebrating the fact they have a free open tab or the fact the Spurs got Victor. Tough to tell honestly. I know they love hoops, but free drinks for sure crossed at least one person's mind here. 

Ridiculous luck. I mean, sure, it's the Blazers with a big man and the Wizards being the Wizards. But come on, they had to redo multiple picks because the Spurs numbers kept coming up is absurd. That's a tough beat for the Wizards and Blazers though. Frankly if Dame requested a trade strictly because of that last ping pong ball number, I'd understand. 

I want to say I can't believe it worked out for the Spurs, but it always works out for the Spurs. The first year they truly tank they get Wemby after tanking for Duncan. I feel like they should do that every so often. Title or number 1 pick, that's basically all the Spurs do now.
