Now matter how toxic, angry, divided, and vitriolic the world is right now, you'd think that if there's one thing we could all look at from the exact same perspective is the evil incarnate that was Jeffrey Epstein. But even the objective reality of his awfulness is polarizing.

Try to find out exactly who he was taking with him to Pedo Island to rape underage, sex-trafficked girls, and the coverage invariably breaks down along ideological lines. The right wants only to talk about the creeps on the right Epstein was inviting out for rape parties, and the left only wants to talk about his raper friends on the right.

Meanwhile, us normie slobs keeping the ideological blinders on only helps both ends of the Political-Pedophile Spectrum get away with their crimes. They get to hide in plain sight because we can't get unslanted, fact-based coverage. When the reality is Epstein was an equal opportunity sex trafficker. An unhealthy obsession with victimizing teenagers transcends petty politics.

The point we should be focusing on is how this scandal has never been about Right and Left. It has always been about power. After all, those were never construction workers, school teachers, postal employees or sports/humor bloggers sipping champagne in their seats on The Lolita Express. They were the wealthiest, most powerful and influential people of our times.

And fortunately, we're starting to get names, thanks mainly to reporting from the Wall Street Journal:

Unfortunately, the WSJ is behind a paywall. But after some searching around, I found what I think is a pretty balanced and concise rundown of the major names involved:

Source - Newly reviewed documents suggest that Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender, had close interactions with the world’s most powerful elites, such as former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers, and other high-powered financiers, as well as billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates, and filmmaker Woody Allen, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The recently unearthed documents shed light on Epstein’s scheduled meetings with several high profile and influential people from 2013 to 2017, after he had pleaded guilty to charges of solicitation [emphasis mine] and was jailed in 2008. …

[T]he outlet was unable to verify if all the scheduled meetings took place or what their purpose was. Among the new details revealed by the WSJ report:

  • Lawrence Summers continued to meet with Epstein and seek his help years after Harvard decided it would no longer accept his donations.
  • Reid Hoffman, a billionaire venture capitalist and LinkedIn co-founder, visited Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean and was scheduled to stay over at his Manhattan townhouse in 2014.
  • Woody Allen, the Oscar-winning movie director, attended dozens of dinners with his wife, Soon-Yi Previn, at Epstein’s mansion and invited Epstein to film screenings.
  • Ehud Barak, the former Israeli prime minister, visited Epstein dozens of times and accepted flights on Epstein’s private jet while visiting Epstein’s mansions in Florida and New York.
  • Leon Black, the billionaire co-founder of private-equity giant Apollo Global Management, scheduled more than 100 meetings with Epstein from 2013 to 2017. …

The recent revelations about his personal documents follow a Wall Street Journal report that showed his correspondence with several other prominent figures, including current CIA Director William Burns, Bard College President Leon Botstein, Obama White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler, and professor Noam Chomsky.

By way of full disclosure, the article includes denials of varying degrees from spokespeople working for most of the above. But not one of them is an outright denial. Not one that is anywhere close to, "What? Me meet with Jeffrey Epstein? That fucking convicted pedophile? I don't hang around with rapists. The only time I'd meet with that slimy perv would be my fist meeting with his ugly face" Instead, they're all a matter of degrees. Well, we discussed business. Or I asked him to help with my legendary philanthropic work. Like this stumbling, tongue-tied excuse-filled non-denial from Gates a while ago:

Bear in mind again, all of this activity, meetings, dinner parties, and assorted hang outs came after Epstein confessed to soliciting underage girls, under oath, in a court of law. Then ask yourself how many times you've knowingly broken bread with a confessed pedo for any reason. Or if you would, even if it was to help your favorite charity. Let a guy with his record offer to help out that High School Band fundraiser you're helping to organize at the local Son's of Italy and see how that goes for him. But Gates - who has spent the better part of the last 30 years on the World's Richest Men list, somehow had to overlook his past crimes. Right.

And none of these people get to use the excuse they had no idea about Epstein's record. When you're that rich and that well connected, you don't let anyone inside your perimeter without doing a thorough background check to make sure they're not just trying to steal money from you. Period. You would especially think the head of the CIA might have the resources to do a little lookie loo into a man who couldn't pass the CORI check you need to in order to coach youth sports.

While we're at it, let's take a moment to acknowledge Leon Black who, despite founding and running "a private equity giant," still found time in his busy workload to schedule 100 meetings with Epstein over a four-year period. That's roughly one every two weeks. Try to think of someone in your life outside of your home or workplace you get together with that much. I bet if you're batting cancer you don't get to meet with your oncologist 100 times over four years.

Now let's consider Noam Chomsky, who describes himself as a "libertarian socialist." Which I assume means he's philosophically opposed to the sort of massive, ostentatious wealth Epstein accumulated and managed for his clients. You'd think the only thing he'd have to say to an alleged billionaire like that is to demand he immediately redistribute his fortune among the oppressed proletariat and the downtrodden poorer class. Yet somehow, against all their differences, the two managed to become buds. As for Woody Allen, I can't imagine what an art house filmmaker and a wealthy financier could ever have in common.

Yet Epstein managed to become a major player in the lives of all these people. Amazing. In a world filled with responsible, ethical wealth management advisors, he was the one everyone had to get together with on the regular. Hmm. Of course it would be irresponsible for anyone to speculate as to what mutual interests he shared with the people on this list. What they had in common with Epstein that was so important to them that they overlooked his criminal record. Let's just say that having all the money and power in the world makes strange bedfellows.

Rot in hell, Epstein.
