Lamar Jackson: "I Want To Throw For Like 6,000 Yards With The Offense We Have"

Let's. Fucking. Go.

Great day in Baltimore as Lamar finally put pen to paper and made it official. At long last, we can put this seemingly never-ending saga in the past and move forward.

Which means we can get back to football, and talking about it. Lamar? He's already at it. Talking big numbers. SIX THOUSAND YARDS big. It's pie in the sky type of stuff for sure (nobody has even touched 5,500) but I couldn't care less. Do not give one single hoot that he hasn't cracked 4,000 either. It's an absurd number that he'll surely never reach, but I'm all about this energy. It's all about his mentality and his excitement for getting back to business, especially after a couple years where it looked like the fun got taken out of the game for him.

The Ravens really are positioned to do incredible things offensively. The offensive line is pretty damn solid including an all-pro LT, Mark Andrews is a top 3 tight end in football, JK Dobbins was running like a man possessed down the stretch last year (despite only being at about 80% top speed) and now we've got some big time receivers to go with it. Rashod Bateman has the makeup of a bonafide #1. It's unreasonable to expect NYG Odell but last time he strapped em up he was dominant in the Super Bowl. Zay Flowers has all kinds of upside and Devin Duvernay is pretty damn dangerous as a #4. The Ravens have dudes, and now they've got an offensive coordinator dedicated to taking it to the next level. As long as the boys are healthy, the sky is the limit.

6,000 yards? Why the fuck not. Go for 8,000. I don't care. I'm ready for Lamar to cook and go chase a Super Bowl.
