A Reddit User Claims Will Levis Is Telling Family And Friends That He’s Going First Overall On Thursday Night - His Odds Continue To Trend In That Direction

There it is folks. You heard it on Reddit, so it must be true. Kentucky quarterback Will Levis will be the first overall pick in the draft on Thursday night.

Great find here by NFL Draft analyst Josh Norris to immediately poke a gigantic hole in this post — but trust that sportsbooks were in a panicked scramble early today to adjust.

SaleAgreeable2834 must have mad sources. I'm impressed. Major casting news about an Oscar-nominated actor in arguably the most iconic villain role in all of pop culture. AND foreknowledge of who the Carolina Panthers are going to take No. 1 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft!? What a legend this guy (or lady) is if both those things come to pass.

Now here's the thing…Alabama Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young is still the prohibitive favorite.

However, Levis' odds to go No. 1 have dropped all the way to +700 from something like +6000 or +5000 in recent days. Even more significant than the +4000 SaleAgreeable is claiming.

Oh and get this: Will Levis is the favorite right now on Barstool Sportsbook to be the second overall pick (+160) and the fourth pick (+135).

I don't think I've ever seen this in my life. Being favored at two different spots in the top-five is wild as it is. THEN surging up from basically dead in the No. 1 pick race to being the second favorite? Only two sleeps away from draft night??

Giphy Images.

I'm tired y'all. This is stupid. Not sure I've ever seen this much out-of-nowhere smoke on a prospect who's probably not deserving of it. But what do I know. NFL talent evaluators nail the draft. It's not like someone with about 25% of the entire picture could do better by just throwing darts. The draft is a skill, don't you know? Not approx. 85% luck-based whatsoever.

What I do know about this annual soap opera is that more often than not, when there's a lot of noise around somebody in the days leading up to it, it's often bullshit. As I believe the case to be here with Will Levis. The prospects you hear nothing about? Perhaps a surprise is in store for them.

No need to belabor this point or drag it out. Enjoy some of my other Will Levis content below if you want to know more about him or have more background on this Reddit nonsense. Actually just yesterday, there was buzz that the Minnesota Vikings are interested enough to move from 23rd overall to the second pick to get him.
