Predators Forward Juuso Parssinen Scored Quite Possibly The Game-Winning Goal Of The Year On A Between-The-Legs Shot

I know Nashville Predators rookie Juuso Parssinen isn't a needle-mover in the mold of Connor McDavid. HOWEVER, the 22-year-old former seventh-round pick just showed off some of the filthiest finishing skills these baby blues eyes have ever seen. This is like vomit-sick shit to do to an opposing goaltender, man. CHILL.

Parssinen is already deking and making a few moves around the crease, before going through his own damn five-hole and shelving that thing past Wild goalie Filip Gustavsson. Thankfully just as I was getting down to write this, we got the full sequence and wide view of what went down before Parssinen's OT GWG.

Hey that's a cool way of articulating an extra-period winner. OT GWG. think I'm going to combine it into one single acronym. OTGWG. I made a smart thing. A thing smart. How about that shrug, though? Savage celly.

In terms of style points, I'd say Parsinnen has the OTGWG of the calendar year, if not the season. I mentioned McDavid at the top. Turns out he had a pretty nasty OTGWG not long ago.

Not sure what this OTGWG means for Parssinen's future, but with handles and creativity near the net like that, maybe he should get a tad more ice time going forward to see what you have in him.

Awesome and thrilling as this victory was for Nashville it's unfortunately all a little too little, a little too late. The Preds have won four of their last six. Admirable effort. Alas, they're missing the postseason for the first time since 2014. They'll look to finish the 2022-23 campaign on a high note in Friday's face-off with the Avalanche at home.

The Stanley Cup playoffs begin Monday. Minnesota has locked up the third spot in the Central Division standings. Who the Wild play actually depends on the result of that Avs-Preds clash. Howz aboutz thatzzz.
