Austin Reaves Strikes Back At Pat Bev With His Own "Too Small" Move As The Lakers Get Revenge On The Bulls

How quickly things can change in the NBA! Not many moons ago it was Barstool Sports' Patrick Beverley lighting the Lakers up and giving LeBron James the "too small" treatment. 

...Now we have the Lakers' breakout star of late Austin Reaves clapping back!!

I love the drama. Pat Bev has a long memory and won't soon forget how the Purple and Gold basically kicked him to the curb. But this point from Rone really caught my eye as all of this unfolded:

Given my love of Star Wars (I did get "Strikes Back" and "Revenge" in the headline, did I not?), I couldn't help but think of this iconic quote from Papa Palpatine once Reaves did our guy Pat Bev like that. 

Anyway the Lakers won tonight by a comfortable margin in Chicago and don't look now, but it kiiiiiiinda looks like LeBron and Anthony Davis miiiiiight be back.

OK enough movie references. Speaking of LeBron, some interesting postgame insight from him regarding Reaves, not to be confused with Keanu:

I doubt Pat Bev even gives a fuck or is fazed whatsoever by what Reaves did to him here. There is more salt running through that man's veins than the Pacific Ocean. Don't get all literal and scientific on me. Just roll with the metaphor, please. You know what I mean. To Pat Bev it's all gotta be fair play. I have a feeling it's only a matter of time before we get another moment like this:

Or at least that's what I'm manifesting. That's a trendy buzzword these days, ain't it?

Seriously though Austin Reaves is killing it. He scored 19 points and had five assists in Wednesday's win. Entering the matchup with the Bulls, Reaves had averaged 17.5 ppg on 53.6% shooting in March, and drained seven of his eight shots from the field. In lieu of updated stats and doing complex math, dude gave himself a nice little bump this eve.

I'm here for some "Et tu, Brute?" esque drama between Pat Bev and Reaves. Can't wait to see the next twist when they meet again.
