The Mandalorian FINALLY Confirmed The Darth Jar Jar Theory

For people that choose to read Barstool blogs with bad English instead of social clips with bad faces like the one above, let me explain what's going on here.

As Kenjac wrote on Wednesday, this week's episode of The Mandalorian had Ahmed Best make an appearance as Jedi Knight named Kelleran Beq. This wasn't Ahmed Best's first time in the Star Wars cinematic universe galaxy as he played a little character named Jar Jar Binks in The Phantom Menace whose highlight reel you can see below.

You know a character was hated when the person who makes a compilation of their clips starts the video with this.

The Phantom Menace was an abject disaster, with Jar Jar being the face of the problems in a movie that most people hated.

However, what if I told you that Jar Jar was obnoxiously clumsy and idiotic because he was essentially pulling a rope-a-dope on the audience and the Jedi. That's right, the Jar Jar Theory states that Jar Jar Binks was actually a Sith Lord that was the true phantom menace of Episode 1, hiding right in plain sight one dopey moment to the next only to be revealed as evil in Episode 2 instead of Count Dooku, who was oddly shoved into the middle of the trilogy without any real warning.

Anakin having to kill his goofy childhood friend instead of this smug asshole definitely would've made Attack Of The Clones better because there is literally no way it would've been worse.

Pretty much the story goes that George Lucas scrapped this idea amidst the charred rubble of The Phantom Menace reviews. But despite that, a whole lot of evidence on Reddit boards make a whoooooole lot of sense to support the Darth Jar Jar Theory (I realize this makes me sound like a nerdy Alex Jones but click View The Conversation below and tell me it doesn't make sense after reading all that stuff).

Not only that, but Ahmed Best weighed in on the theory and sure as hell didn't dispel any of the rumors in this YouTube interview (I again realize referencing an old YouTube interview makes me seem like a looney toon).

Yet while we are speaking about Ahmed, are you trying to tell me a guy like this was cast to just bumble around like an idiot?

No way my friend. That's a man that was cast because he had the athleticism to be a badass fighter while wielding a lightsaber, likely of the red variety. In a movie franchise known for its redirects, including the biggest in movie history when Darth drops his paternity test on Luke's lap, I don't think Jar Jar flipping sides is that crazy. Hell, Yoda pretty much acted like a wacky nutjob the first time he met Luke. Why couldn't Jar Jar do that from the dark side of The Force?

Anyway, we dabbled a bit more into The Darth Jar Jar Theory as well as recapped the latest episode of The Mandalorian on My Mom's Basement.
