While Unders Are A Ho-Hum 35-17, Players And Coaches Everywhere Can't Stop Complaining About The NCAA Tournament Ball
This here seems like a thing. Why? Because the NCAA uses a shitty ball for the Tournament. Coaches, players, ex-players, everyone is complaining about it. Here are some examples:
It's true. We've seen people complain about this new Wilson ball for a couple years now. But this is different. We're getting people talking about the ball being too inflated. We're seeing the under at 35-17. Gross. So gross. I want to see high scoring games. I want to see less wedgies (sorry Jake Marsh). I mean we're still going to get dumb plays and dumb decisions, we don't need a new ball for that.
This is peak NCAA though. Everyone hates the ball. Players and coaches are complaining. Fans are complaining. They don't care. We're seeing record viewership. We're seeing upsets and stories. But the ball is leading to bad play. That's gross. I know the players are leading to bad play too, but take away the ball.
Anyone who has played basketball - I'm talking even just pick up - knows you don't ever play with a new, slick ball. Everyone wants a ball that's a little bit deflated, good grip and broken in. A ball too slick is a mess - fingers can slip on shooting motion, easy to take a weird hop while dribbling, etc.
Give us points.
