It's As Clear As The Day Is Long That The Philadelphia Phillies Are The Only Team That Gives A Shit About America

They say that baseball is America's pastime. And the MLB is supposed to be the pinnacle of the sport. 30 teams in the league with 29 of them hailing from these great states. Yet somehow, it appears that the Philadelphia Phillies are the only organization in the MLB that actually gives a rat's ass about America. The Phillies are driving around in Ford F-250 Super Duties while the rest of the league is rolling around in some Volkswagons and Priuses.

It's just sad to see that on the game's biggest international stage, only guys who get their checks signed by John Middleton can show up to play for the Red, White and Blue.

Think the Mets give a shit about America? Think the Yankees give a shit about America? Most importantly--do you think the goddamn Los Angeles Angels give a shit about America? Because from what it looks like to me, Mike Trout is the biggest Benedict Arnold we've ever seen. I wouldn't be shocked to learn there was a little bonus put in his contract if he let Shohei Ohtani get the last out to win the WBC for Japan.

The Angels know that it's better for global business to have Ohtani be the hero in this game. So Trout goes down whiffing on 3 strikes for just the 24th time in his career.

Seems a little fishy to me.

All I'm saying is that if Mike Trout wasn't such a selfish jabroni who chose money over coming back to being a hero for his hometown Phillies, he would have launched a piss missile out of the ballpark here on Ohtani to tie the game up at 3. But as previously mentioned before, the Angels don't give a shit about America. By proxy, neither does Mike Trout.

I just think that if you care about this country and you're invested in the future of its success, then you have no other choice but to be a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies are the baseball team for the American working man, because that's who they are and that's who they care about.
