What Should Chief And I Name Our New Horse?
People may or may not know that Chief and I own a slice in a few race horses. One of them is named "Smokin' Jay" and he's as gray as the Lake Michigan Mist. Here he is prior to his most recent race:
He's so damn handsome! He's also a pretty damn good horse, too. He's earned about $250,000 through his age 4 year. Check out these Equibase speed figs:
Not too shabby for a horse who's just now entering his prime! Here he is winning his allowance race about 3 weeks back. He BOMBED down the stretch:
It's been a fun little side hobby that we started solely because there was NOTHING else to do back in 2020 when Chief and I originally partnered with Crown's Way Racing.
We'll know more in the coming weeks, but Jay will be running in graded stakes races for a good chunk of the summer. HOPEFULLY that means Breeder's Cup. Long shot for sure, but not outside the realm of possibility, and due to Jay's success…
…He now has a little brother and stablemate. Without further adieu, introducing this guy, a 2 year old nameless, Florida-bred colt:
MY GOD IS HE DASHING!!!! Look how handsome those legs are. And those glutes!! Jesus Christ those glutes!!!!!!
Obviously we gotta go something White Sox related due to his feet, similar to how we went with Smokin' Jay as an ode to the greatest QB in NFL history.
So we're leaving it up to you, the Stoolies, to name our horse. Maybe. If this post induces an influx of creative names to choose from, we'll run with one of them. Or maybe I'll consult ol' #45, he's great at giving horse looking objects nicknames.
Bombs away! And if anyone is looking to get in on this new horse, shoot Tony with Crown's Way a message by clicking here. He'll take care of ya and give ya the scoop on how it all works. Until then, let's hope Jay makes us a million bucks this summer. See everyone at the track to watch our new guy break his maiden this summer!!!
