Barstool's Own Patrick Beverley Sent Chicago Into A Frenzy By Scoring 14 Straight Points For The Bulls

Our guy Pat Bev is known for his tenacious defense, BUT DO NOT LET THIS MAN GET FUCKING HOT on the offensive end.

Do you hear that United Center crowd!?!? They are LIT UP and fully here for Patrick Beverley doing his best Steph Curry heat check impression. But I'm not sure even Steph can arouse a group of basketball diehards like Pat Bev did on Saturday night.

You seriously love to see this for the Bulls. Not only because they're lucky to have such an electrifying personality and leadership presence in their locker room in Pat Bev. No. Because they've gotten fucked every which way by the injury to point guard Lonzo Ball. Poor Lonzo is about to have his third knee surgery and may well miss two consecutive, full seasons while he recovers.

Because of Ball's absence and myriad other factors, Chicago has failed to meet expectations in 2022-23. HOWEVER, since Pat Bev signed with his hometown team, they've gone a respectable 7-4, including four wins in their last five. This latest victory was thanks in no small part to Beverley's scoring eruption.

The Heat are still atop the play-in bubble in the East, but now they're two games back of Brooklyn for the sixth seed.

Meanwhile, losses by Washington and Indiana helped the Bulls pull ahead by 1.5 games for the 10th and final play-in seed. In other words, both teams had a lot to play for, so this wasn't some meaningless late-season action. This was Patrick Beverley balling out with Chicago's playoff fate hanging in the balance the rest of the way.

Fuck yeah. Give a listen to The Pat Bev Pod with Rone if you haven't already.
