Fraser has gone through the god damn ringer. He was on top of the world after the Mummy and then got blacklisted after reporting the head of the HFPA for sexually assaulting him. Combine that with his wife raking him over the coals in alimony and he had about as miserable a pair of decades as you can imagine.
