Turns Out Shawn Kemp Will Not Be Facing Drive By Shooting Charges Because He Was Acting In Self-Defense

Well this certainly makes the story from a couple days ago wildly different. On Wednesday night Kemp was booked into a jail facing charges for a drive by shooting. His lawyer put out a statement saying he was confronting people who broke into his car and stole his items and then acting in self-defense. Pending further investigation all charges are dropped.

Good for Kemp here then. Also savvy move by him to use the find his iPhone in order to track these guys down. I don't know all what was stolen besides his phone, but Kemp cared enough to go through the hassle of tracking it down and then getting in a car and driving to a Tacoma mall. Seems like a lot of work just for a phone, but when you're Shawn Kemp you do this. 

Also stop leaving your phone in the car. That just goes for anyone and everyone. That bad boy should be in your left pocket whenever you're going somewhere. Just had to say that quick. But good news for Kemp is everything is currently being dropped. He acted in self-defense after being fired upon first.
