Wake Up With Matt Harvey's Gigantic Lipper

The Dark Knight is currently on the mound for Team Italy in the WBC and he looks fantastic. 

He's mixed in everything. Looks crafty as hell. We haven't seen that many fastballs yet but a lot of the rest of the sink. He's got a sneaky advantage behind in the count because he's mixing everything so much. Honestly he looks like a good old fashioned salty veteran. Like Harris from Major League with none of the Vagisil and all of the jalapeno. 

And while the velocity has most certainly dipped, his capacity to enjoy massive dips has remained constant. It would absolutely crush my soul to see him throw in a zyn or an apple pouch. No my friends. That's Carolina farm fresh tobacco out of a leather pouch. The kind that stains the fingers and smells like a goddamn dessert cart coming down the United Center skybox hallway. 

That's the kind of lipper Matt Harvey prefers and it's good to know he's still doing it. Throwing 88 and getting pissed and pitching guys inside. That's the Matt Harvey I know and love.
