After a Four Year Career Hiatus, Hayden Panettiere Is Officially Back

She's baaaaaaaaaaack. Hayden Panetierre, one of my favorite actresses growing up, returns to the big screen this Friday in the new Scream movie. It actually looks pretty good and kinda scary considering it's the sixth installment in the series. 

Hayden is back as Kirby despite getting seemingly stabbed to death a few movies ago. Never saw her actually die though, so she's now working for the FBI? Sure! 

After a career hiatus this is her first movie since 2016 and first anything since Nashville ended in 2018. She's also released a little swimsuit photoshoot for the people to help announce her return. 

Is it a little weird to view Hayden Panetierre in the MILF game now rather than the un-killable cheerleader who teenager Hubbs fell in love with during her Heroes days? Kinda? I mean prime Hayden was a certified rocket ship. One of my first loves. 

She's been through A LOT, especially over the last four years, which involved battling alcoholism, substance abuse, custody of her kid, and being a victim of domestic violence. Unfortunately last month her brother, who she was extremely close to, passed away suddenly due to an enlarged heart. Super tragic. She spoke briefly about the situation with Michael Strahan yesterday on GMA while promoting the movie. 

Pretty brutal to have to do this press tour for the movie right now, but maybe it's helping her distract from the trauma a little. Can't be easy either way you slice it. 

Here's to hoping the movie is good and this helps relaunch her career. Go Hayden Go
