It Just Means More: Lexington Lawyer Asks For A New Court Date In Case Kentucky Is In The Final Four, Judge Immediately Accepts It

[Source] - With the confidence building in the Big Blue Nation, many are starting to make plans for the NCAA Tournament including a client of a Lexington lawyer. According to Brian Stahl of LEX18, on Tuesday, a lawyer asked a judge to move a client’s next court date due to the possibility of Kentucky making the Final Four.

While the request is interesting enough, the judge actually granted the motion.

I'm torn on this. On one hand, I love the passion. This is why I love my fellow Kentucky fans and everyone around Lexington. One of the best cities and college towns in the world. Beautiful city. But at the same time, I can't have people talking about the Final Four. That never works. It's a win-or-go-home scenario. One bad shooting game. One injury. Can't have this sort of juju out there.

This is peak college sports though. It doesn't matter what college town you're in. You gotta assume every judge would do something like this. We don’t have time to deal with silly things like the law during the NCAA Tournament. Not when your team makes a Final Four. You sit there and you defend your client accordingly. Even the judge was like nah, I gotta be ready for the Final Four too. Maybe make a trip to Houston.

But like I said, can't have this juju. You don't say Final Four out loud. We're riding a winning streak right now. We actually look decent again. Need everyone to keep saying Kentucky sucks so Cal can do his thing and pretend to be an underdog. Love the passion, but we gotta do everything we can to get back to a Final Four though.
