The Extras on The "Joker 2" Set Are Mad Because They Can't Go The Bathroom Every Two Hours
I saw this headline and immediately thought this sounded like an awful work environment. Then I read the article:
SOURCE - “Joker” sequel production bosses are under fire after allegedly denying extras access to the bathroom while on set, among other issues.
Sources told TMZ that extras for “Joker: Folie à Deux” had been forced to work non-stop for two hours sans bathroom or water breaks during production at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank. Most of these lavatory problems purportedly arose while the background actors were waiting for cameras to be set up — a process that can take up to an hour.
Is being asked not to go to the bathroom for two hours that big of a deal? I went from feeling sorry for these people to being annoyed by them in two paragraphs. There are many jobs out there that people do everyday that don't allow for bathroom breaks every two hours. I don't remember a teacher of mine EVER using the bathroom which seems like a superpower the more I think about it. They never had that post-hangover shit? Or had a dicey breakfast where the bacon was just too greasy?
If truckers had to pee every two hours, supplies would never get here. I'm guessing our people in the military have to hold in their piss and shit while also DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY. These extras are literally just standing there watching Joaquin Phoenix act crazy. I'll do the same thing when this comes out, pay money to see it and not have to use the bathroom during the movie.
Movie productions take a very long time. It's not unusual for it to take a hours to set up cameras. Maybe if you need to use the shitter that often, being an extra isn't the best line of work for you. Not everyone has to do everything. I'd be a pretty terrible linebacker in the NFL. Perhaps a job where they work from home would be the best bet for these people.
Luckily the Joker 2 situation isn't the case here at Barstool. We are welcome to use the bathroom whenever we need to. I'd just stay away from the random urinal that is almost overflowing with the darkest piss you've ever seen. Maybe the extras should see that. I've never wanted to piss less after seeing that.
