Welcome To Sports: Ryan Reynolds Got His Heart Ripped Out Of His Chest During Wrexham's Absurd FA Cup Match

This is a blog more about love for sports than it is Wrexham's story. Sure, them being alive in the FA Cup still is ridiculous. They are a 5th tier team surviving against teams leagues above them. But Ryan Reynolds finally realized what it's like to care about sports. Think about even the most successful franchise recently - the Patriots. The majority of times, this is where they end up. 6 Super Bowls since 02 is absurd. But more often than not you get this experience.

Hope. Despair. Victory. Defeat. We see it all. We go through all the emotions as fans. That's what Ryan Reynolds is for Wrexham, just with a shit ton of money at stake. But we finally get to see emotion from a guy who people originally thought was just investing in ownership. Even during Welcome to Wrexham it seemed like Rob McElhenney cared more about the squad. 

That's clearly not the case. You can see all the emotions from yesterday's match after Wrexham took the lead to the blowing the lead in the 95th minute. 

3-2 lead with Sheffield United down to 10 men. Wrexham just needed one stop and they couldn't get it. 95th minute, Sheffield scored on a set piece and now they have to play the match all over again, this time at Sheffield. Winner advances to the 5th round - Round of 16. Even more brutal might have been Blake Lively on Instagram: 

Your own wife making fun of you having anxiety watching your team? Hey, Blake, we're trying to get a pretty notable win here! Now we gotta play another 90 minutes. How about some sympathy? Regular ass fans don't want their significant other or friends or family making fun of them after a loss. It stings. Now, this is obviously a tie. But it was a blown opportunity. Can't have jokes during times like this! 

It's good to see a guy like Reynolds show emotion and experience something like this though. He's got a decent life going. Needs to be reminded that you can have your heart ripped out over a game. Also just shows he's invested. Good chance you can pick out this exact moment for your team too.
