Chills. That's what I felt watching that 2 minute trailer over and over. If we're being completely honest, my goosebumps had goosebumps.

As I've said before, I'm a big time sucker for any sort of basketball documentary. It's one of the things I love about today's era, we're getting more and more docs either with active players or ones that honor the legends of the past, and make no mistake, it doesn't get bigger than Bill Russell. Not just as a basketball player, but as a human. A true GOAT in every sense.

I know there will always be Celtics haters and trolls and all that, but I feel like when it comes to Bill Russell that all goes away. There was simply nobody like him and I feel pretty confident in suggesting there won't ever be another Bill Russell again. It still feels crazy he's passed away, even though we all knew he was up there in age. I just spent my whole life figuring Russell would always be around, that living Gods actually never die. I know that makes no sense, but Celts fans will understand.

So not only is he MORE than deserving of something like this, the fact that it's about to be some Grade A Celtics porn has me counting down the days until February 8th. Going through his battles, hearing him tell stories, hearing other legends talk about him, you can inject all that shit directly into my veins. Normally when we get these types of docs there's usually a little bit of a puff piece angle, or maybe a player is trying to create a narrative about himself, things like that.

With this? Everything you're going to hear is true and how it really was. There's no ulterior motive or agenda. Bill Russell was 1 of 1. From his mindset, to how he played, to what he did for civil rights, to what he did for the Celts as a franchise, it's truly as special as it gets.

I don't know if these types of docs get awards or anything like that, but I'm just going to say it now. Give this an Oscar. What I saw in that trailer alone is enough to get it nominated. It's only right.
