Jeremy Renner Saved His Nephew From Getting Hit By The 14,000 Pound Snowplow Before Being Crushed Himself As The Local Sheriff's Report Details The Freak Accident
We're a few weeks removed from Jeremy Renner's freak snow plow accident that left him bleeding out and needing an emergency airlift to save his life. After two weeks in the hospital, 30 broken bones, and multiple surgeries he's now thankfully resting at home and recovering.
We're now getting a much better idea as to what the hell happened from the Nevada Sheriff's office. Not gonna lie, it's been hard to imagine how he could find himself in one moment driving the damn thing to then being run over by it without having time to get out of the way. Here's how..
(Source) According to the report, which spells out the accident in the most amount of detail available so far, Renner told investigators in hospital January 5 that the incident began to unfold after he had towed his nephew's truck off his driveway.
He towed the truck, which had become stuck after unusually heavy snowfall in the area, onto the street. It was then that the snowplow began 'sliding sideways,' he told investigators, at which point it began to roll down the hill on its tracks. The report says Renner jumped out of the plow's cabin, but quickly realized the vehicle was on course to directly hit his nephew.
'He feared the PistenBully was going to hit (his nephew), so he decided to attempt to stop or divert the PistenBully,' the report says, according to CNN.
In order to get back into the cabin, Renner had to climb onto its moving tracks. As he did so, he was 'immediately pulled under the left side track,' the account says.
So a couple things here 1) Jeremy Renner is an actual real life Avenger, out here saving lives 2) Imagine being that nephew? How could you look at him in the eyes again realizing the depths he went to make sure you were okay. Nothing you can do to repay him. 3) How is this guy alive? I really thought initially he was gonna lose a leg or something. While it seems like he's still very banged up (30 broken bones is a lot) he appears to have really dodged a bullet.
Long live Hawkeye
P.S. Mayor of Kingstown is apparently very good and I want to watch it but it's on Paramount + which certainly isn't a service people actually pay for, right?
