This Pathetic Foul Call That Cost Ohio State The Game Tonight Is Precisely Why Everyone Says College Basketball Refs Stink

How the hell do you make this call? Not only is it the wrong call. Not only is it a dumb thing to do. Not only did it end up costing OSU the game. Not only did everyone - including Minnesota fans - understand it was a bad call. The ref has nothing to answer. He just goes to go about his happy go lucky life onto call the next game tomorrow. That's the biggest problem in college basketball. Not NIL. Not transfers. Not one-and-done.

Officiating.

This happens far too often. Pretty simple rule - don't call a foul across the lane, especially when you're blocked. I haven't seen this clean of a block since Trey Burke stuffed Peyton Siva in the 2013 game that didn't happen. Here's the thing. Answer to someone. We make college athletes sit in press conferences and answer questions from a guy wearing khakis and a button up after they blow a game. But refs have a pool reporter with no real consequences besides a 'grade.'

I want to know why he called this foul. I want him to admit he fucked up. I don't even like Ohio State, I just hate refs as much. You can't keep making calls like this that flat out change the outcome of the game. Minnesota gets a free throw with 1.7 seconds left. Ball game.

PS: The dude on Ohio State who got dropped to the ground on the crossover is the luckiest guy in the world. Filthy move and everyone doesn't realize he got dropped because of the foul call.
