Wil Myers Is A Champion
Wil Myers has won The Show fantasy league. With heavy hitters like Mike Trout, Manny Machado, and Dave Portnoy amongst other huge Major League personalities, Wil has stood a cut above. Looking back, he did a great job in the draft and got some steady rocks that would help lead his 12-2 squad on a weekly basis. Patrick Mahomes in a 6-point passing TD league is a cheat code. He was the top overall player nearly 500 points on the season. Davante Adams finished as WR3 in full point PPR behind only Justin Jefferson and Tyreek Hill. Meanwhile Josh Jacobs led the NFL in rushing and finished as fantasy’s RB3 in full point PPR. Having three Top 3 players at their position at each of the three main positions is outstanding drafting.
But Wil also built strong secondary pieces with Devin Singetary (RB23). At WR Tyler Lockett was WR13 and Michael Pittman Jr. was WR20.
In a daring mid-season move, Myers flipped Najee Harris and Michael Pittman Jr. for Ja’Marr Chase who finished as WR11 despite missing time with an injury.
Once Chase got back healthy, Will’s team really hit their stride. Here is his final roster.
The final was a blowout over 2nd seed and overall points leader Mike Moustakas, and even though Wil's team underperformed their projection, he built so much depth that his squad became unstoppable.
So congratulations to league champion Wil Myers, our 2nd place finisher Mike Moustakas, and our co-3rd place finishers Mike Napoli & Jake Marisnick as we had to come to a compromise with the MNF game getting canceled.
It's been a really fun season and hopefully I'll be back in charge for next year and years to come.
