Milly Alcock Appearing To Be On A Different Planet While Accepting Her Golden Globe For House Of The Dragon Is Another Reason Why Rhaenyra Targaryen Is The True Queen Of The 7 Kingdoms
EVERYONE BOW DOWN TO THE TRUE QUEEN OF WESTEROS!!!
I'm pretty sure the world was already smitten with Milly Alcock after she absolutely crushed the role of young Rhaenyra Targaryen. But now I think it's fair to say the world is in love with her for embracing the spirit of the Golden Globes, which was always the fun award show where celebs would get plastered and shows/movies that normal people like me could actually win a fancy trophy. Shout out to three such programs.
I honestly don't know if Milly was actually loaded or simply having fun, but I wouldn't blame her if she did throw some back before, during, and/or after the show. Not just because that was the Golden Globes brand back when people cared about them. But because she absolutely crushed a role in a Game of Thrones show only to see her character get aged up halfway through the season. Missing out on that monstrous HBO paycheck and automatic slot on the A-List that comes with being in Thrones would be enough to cause anybody to responsibly hammer down a few (insert your favorite alcohol sponsor here).
Hopefully Milly wakes up with a clear head this morning and gets attached to another project that is a cash cow, almost definitely going to be a perennial contender for not only Golden Globes level awards but Emmys too, and can do shit like this for your #brand.
I also gotta give props to Emma D’Arcy for not only crushing the role of an older Rhaenyra but for also holding Milly up during that speech (even though I didn't know who she was at first). Just another reason why it's Team Black for life and fuck The Greens for forever and a day, no matter how badass adult Aemond might be.
P.S. You know who deserved an honorary Golden Globe? The extras that 69'd for half a day straight. True dedication to the craft.
Man I can't wait to dress up like an asshole again with three of my favorite people at Barstool and talk about this show again. Thank God Thrones is back.
