Mississippi State Gets One Of The Best Covers In Football History On The Final Play Of The ReliaQuest Bowl
It seemed like the scoring in the ReliaQuest Bowl was likely done with four seconds left when Mississippi State booted a chip shot field goal through the uprights to seemingly secure a 13-10 win in their first game after the death of Mike Leach. But with a line that closed with the Bulldogs as 3.5-point favorites, the Pirate had one more surprise up his sleeve on the final play of the game.
Incredible. That play actually looked for a while like it might end up in a miraculous ending for Illinois, but there was simply no way Mississippi State was losing this game and it ended up with an amazing cover on top of the win.
Congratulations to the Bulldogs, their new head coach Zach Arnett and everyone who had MSU -3.5. What an ending.
