Wet Blanket Ryan Seacrest "Praises CNN" For Attempting to Rein In Andy Cohen's Drinking On New Years Eve. Andy Cohen Tells Everyone To Get Fucked, Because He Still Plans On "Torching The Place"

Variety - Ryan Seacrest told Entertainment Weekly that it’s “probably a good idea” that CNN is having its New Year’s Eve anchors cut back on drinking during the upcoming 2022-2023 celebration. CNN hosts Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen went viral during last year’s telecast for their drunken antics, which included Cohen dissing Seacrest and ABC’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” Seacrest has hosted ABC’s annual celebration since 2006.

Cohen addressed “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” as “Ryan Seacrest’s group of losers that are performing behind us” while on air, adding, “I mean, with all due [respect], if you’ve been watching ABC tonight, you’ve seen nothing. I’m sorry.”

Nearly a year later, Seacrest told EW that he doesn’t “advocate drinking when one is on the air.” He added, “I don’t know how that started as a tradition, but it’s probably a good idea [to cut back], CNN.” The news network announced in November that it would be scaling back the drinking on its New Year’s Eve telecast.

“There’s some pretty respectable people, or at least one, right? I think there’s a serious journalist and then a friend of mine who has a lot of fun, but it’s probably a good idea,” Seacrest said. “Although the viewers probably wish they would drink more. But I think they had something to say about my show at one point, which was I’m sure from the alcohol because I don’t think they would say what they said about our performers if they weren’t drinking.”

Lot of sexual tension going on here.

Here's the clip in question where Cohen slammed Seacrest.

Speaking of sexual tension, my man Pat was all over Cohen's antics last NYE. Namely, him blasting NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio.

Andy Cohen is fucking hilarious. Drunk Andy Cohen is even more funny.

Listen, I respect the fuck out Ryan Seacrest. Guy went from interning at 16 at a local station, to working his way up to a lowly radio DJ in Atlanta, to one of the most successful people in showbiz thanks to good old-fashioned hard work. He's a maniac who juggles like 50 different jobs somehow, he's in ten places at once, syndicated on every radio station (still), hosting mega television shows morning, noon, and night, and he produces some of the biggest reality shows on E!. Including the God-forsaken Kardashian shows, which we owe all to him for damning the world with. So fuck him for that, but otherwise, he seems like a good guy.

But this is pathetic.

Live a little for me Ryan and fucking relax. Life is short. Enjoy it.

As successful and well-known as Ryan Seacrest is, I think it kills him that he'll never be as well-liked as Andy Cohen.

Cohen is a loose cannon. And when the tequila shots start firing and he's such a fun drunk, he's even able to make one of the most vanilla people of all time, Anderson Cooper, fun and likeable by bringing out an actual personality in him. Why CNN would want to ruin their main attraction, and the thing drawing viewers into watching their new years eve special (more on this below)? Idiots. This is what puts asses in the seats. If they really wanted to boost their ratings they would have done the opposite of this and issued a statement saying, "We are sorry. Andy Cohen is a mad man. He is a wild card. But we stand behind him and apologize in advance for everybody he offends this New Years Eve. We will be keeping his drink full all night. You don't want to miss."

Luckily, Cohen says everybody can suck his dick because he's getting hammered come hell or high water.

Yahoo - Life of the party! Andy Cohen has no plans of reining in his drinking while cohosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live with pal Anderson Cooper.

“It’s fun for me because I’m a guest on CNN, so I’m like a visitor,” Cohen, 54, told Rolling Stone in an interview published on Wednesday, December 28. “I’m going to just march back to Bravo at 12:30 in the morning and be done with it.”

The longtime Bravo host and producer joked: “And so I can kind of torch the place while I’m there, and then head out.”

The Watch What Happens Live! With Andy Cohen star further explained that his “job” on the annual New Year’s Eve broadcast is to “take Anderson out of his comfort zone” and have a good time.

“My job is to be a party ringleader for everyone watching us on New Year’s Eve,” Cohen told the outlet. “And that is what I will continue to do.”

Love it. Imagine thinking you could control this guy?

Good for you Andy. Never change.

I will NOT be tuning in, but if I was staying home Saturday night, and my tv was broken, or I was in a hostage situation, I definitely would consider it. I will however be looking forward to watching the clips of Cohen acting a fool going viral on twitter.

p.s. - who are the people staying in on new years eve and spending it on the couch watching CNN?
