Russell Wilson Apparently Has His Own Office And Private Parking Spot At The Broncos Facility

Shannon Sharpe is one of the biggest windbags in sports media in my opinion. He's on First Take, so I don't blame him. It's a show that's about outlandish takes and Sharpe is damn good at his job. That being said, he played 12 seasons in Denver and I think it's safe to say he's fairly connected with the Broncos. I'm sure he has the ear of almost everyone inside that building from players, to coaches, to staff, to security guards, to the front office. So when Shannon Sharpe talks about the Broncos, I hold it in a little bit higher regard than him talking about the other 31 franchises.

And Shannon went OFF about Russell Wilson yesterday and his poor play. But inside that rant, were some interesting nuggets.

“I don’t know who the head coach is gonna be, but the first thing you do [is say], ‘Russell Wilson, I’m locking this office. You will no longer have an office. All those parking spaces you get the stadium, they’re gone too — because you’re putting yourself in front of the team.’ I said it before, I’ll say it again, and I stand by it: You ticked a lot of people off with your attitude, bro. You can come out here and talk about how we’re a team and I’m good with my teammates, but deep down inside, they’re seething, and I’m gonna leave it at that,” Shannon Sharpe on First Take

A parking spot for the QB, ok, I get that. That's fair. Typically there is a players lot, so I don't hate that. Not usually assigned parking, but I'm not going to hate on Russ having a parking spot. But several at the stadium seems excessive. But why does this dude need an office?! I get QBs will probably watch more tape than any other players, but he'll be in QB meetings with the rest of his position group throughout the day. Are you saying he just goes off on his own and does his own thing by himself? This is very odd and doesn't paint him as 'one of the guys'. For Shannon Sharpe to say this about the Broncos gives this some real credibility.

But seriously, what does Russ need an office for? He's got an incredible home in the Denver suburbs that certainly has an office in it. Does he have a Bloomberg terminal for curating his social media presence? What happened to the Russ that was good and mobile and threw a great deep ball and visited Children's Hospitals every week? Now we just see a shitty QB who seems to be doing everything possible to alienate his teammates.

This trade looks worse and worse by the day. Not to mention that one of the 1st round picks they gave up for Russ is currently slated to be the #3 overall pick in this coming draft.
