The NBA Is Creating A Behind The Scenes Series For Their Next Wave Of Young Stars Called "Pass The Rock" And It Looks Sensational

All throughout NBA history, there are examples of passing the torch or a changing of the guard as we move from one era to the next. For the last 20 or so years, we've lived in the LeBron era where guys like LeBron/KD/Melo/Wade/CP3/Steph/Kawhi etc have pretty much run things. They took the torch starting in the early 2000s and never really let it go.

Sadly, we're all getting old as shit. Guys that were these young and exciting prospects have now grown into NBA legends and Top 75 All Time players. You know what was pretty nuts? Watching LeBron's kid play Melo's kid the other night. I remember when those two battled on ESPN 20 years ago, and few things made me feel as old as that shit

You have to remember, that showdown on ESPN was way before social media was a thing. It was a HUGE deal back then. It was th first time I ever saw LeBron play. Crazy it's been 22 years since then.

So now in 2022, we're beginning to see another passing of the torch as we move forward with the next generation of NBA stars. I think most will agree that one of the best parts of the NBA in 2022 is how loaded the league is with awesome young talent. I can't remember a time where there was so much talent top to bottom. Even lottery bound teams have guys that are must watch TV, which is great for basketball fans everywhere.

The NBA knows this, so they've decided to release a behind the scenes series that follows they league's biggest young stars, and quite frankly it looks sensational

As I've said before, I am an admitted sucker for pretty much any type of basketball documentary/series. I can't get enough of them. I might be one of the few people on the planet who have no problem that players both current and former are starting their own production companies to make their own documentaries. Some people think it's too much, I say it's not enough.

But this? I don't know how any basketball fan couldn't be in on this. These are the biggest young names in the game. Future MVPs, maybe future champions, and if things break right, some of them might even be all time greats. I can't think of a better collection of talent to carry the NBA for the next 20 years.

Honestly, it's time. As crazy as it is that guys like LeBron are still playing at a high level at this stage of his career is nuts, but he's old news. I get it, CP3 is one of the best PGs ever, but enough already. We should spend more time talking about this crop of talent and appreciating how freaking good they are despite being so young. Guys are coming into the league right now and being dominant pretty much immediately, which is pretty special.

So count me in on this series. Sure it's annoying that this is going to be on the NBA App, but I feel like by now most people have smart TVs. Just download it there and you'll be fine.
