Sam Bankman Fried Ran up a HUGE Bar Tab at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville

Consider this your warning, Margaritaville (Times Square)...

Giphy Images.

Sam Bankman-Fried may or may not be in town for a $2,400 a head New York Times panel discussion on Wednesday. And that gelatinous dad bod was apparently sculpted by Margaritaville's 'Cheeseburgers in Paradise' and 'Booze in the Blender' novelty drinks.

You see, we got a hold of Alameda Research's (friendly reminder: this is the trading arm of Sam's house of cards) bankruptcy docs, and its top 5 creditors were pretty par for the course (Amazon Web Services, a law firm, Bloomberg)… except for one.

Sam and the polyamorous cult of terrible crypto traders owe more than $55k to the Margaritaville down the street from FTX's headquarters in the Bahamas. That is a fuck ton of conch fritters.

Oh, and I believe the missing creditor contact info would be one Jimmy Buffett. Perhaps Dave can get them in touch?

And I can only think one thing: "how did FTX not top the 'Best Places to Work' list every single year?"

Let's recap, shall we?

+ Company happy hours at Margartiaville ('Boat Drinks' just hit different after a day of committing unspeakable crimes against humanity)

+ Rampant drug use, including "EMSAM in patch form. It is a methamphetamine derivative used on-label to treat symptoms of Parkinson’s disease." Alameda's CEO and SBF's "girlfriend" (they don't like labels) said this on Twitter in 2021: "Nothing like regular amphetamine use to make you appreciate how dumb a lot of normal, non-medicated experience is."

+ Orgies

+ Hanging out with celebs like Tom Brady and Larry David

+ An "office" in Albany, Bahamas that was actually just a resort penthouse that "boasted six bedrooms, two elevators, manicured grounds, a golf course and a boat basin packed with super yachts."

League of Legends tournaments in the office (everyone gets to beat Sam)

+ Free tickets to Miami Heat games at the FTX arena

+ Did I mention the orgies?

+ No expense reports

+ Office bean bags (for orgies)…
