Doug Edert Made a Business Decision And Ran For His Life After Getting Into a Slap Fight With Syracuse

Doug Edert became a household name among college basketball fans during last year's dream run with St. Peters. Now he's going to be known as the guy who got bitch slapped and ran from a fight like a little pussy. 

This is the craziest thing I have seen in a college basketball game in a long time. I watched this video 1,000 times because I couldn't believe it was real. If you get slapped the only thing you can do is go and fight that other guy. Doug did half of that, connecting on his own cheap shot, but then made a business decision to run away from 6'10" John Bol Ajok afterwards. Doug had true fear in his eyes like he was actually being chased by a murderer. I have never seen someone make football moves juking people out after getting into a fight. When you get embarrassed like that with a slap you have to fight back but you just can't run away like that. It's college, no one is going to throw actual punches, you have to know that. I cannot believe he ran like that. 

This is why college basketball is the best because you don't get a little slap fight like this anywhere else. The first slap by the Syracuse guy was so nonchalant that Ederts' teammates thought that he was the one starting that fight. I don't think anyone saw the first slap. You have to almost commend him for how sly it was. He did a no look slap walk away and that was the first of its kind I have ever seen. There is nothing like a little slap fight to start your Saturday night.
