This Dude Is Getting Dragged Across The Internet Coals For Pissing Off The Side Of A Sacred Mountain In Hawaii

A man from Hawaii has caused outrage online after he posted a video of himself peeing on Mauna Kea - a mountain which is known to be sacred to Native Hawaiians.

The offensive viral video was removed from Travis Upright's Instagram profile after he faced intense backlash for the stunt.

It depicted him urinating atop the summit before then holding up his middle finger to the camera and walking off-screen.

Little bit of a sticky situation we have here. I'll start by saying this - Travis has been EXTREMELY apologetic. From the sounds of it, he was just goofing around on social media. The original video was deleted after he got a mountain (pun intended) of shit for his stunt, and he made a few apologies after.

Here's his first apology video:

It seems like this guy was just being a lil Like and RT whore on social media. We're all guilty of that occasionally and it gets us all in trouble from time to time. I'd say lesson learned, but nobody ever really learns their lesson on social media. He'll do or say something stupid again in due time. Everybody does.

But….when ya gotta go, ya gotta go. Just ask anyone who's ever had to piss before. If he would have unzipped his pants and let it fly over the mountain without filming it and flipping off the camera afterwards, obviously nobody is saying a peep. I can't imagine there are bathrooms up on the top of this mountain. Anyone and their mother is finding a tree or bush or…the side of the mountain…and letting it fly. Guys especially, since being able to piss off the whenever and wherever is one of the reasons why being a man is better than being a woman.

NOW… I'm not saying this guy couldn't hold it. Maybe he could have. I don't know. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume his kidneys and bladder were about to explode. We've all been there, and sometimes you just gotta let it rip. There's been a few times over the years where I've had to piss so bad that cannot hold it, so I just hurry up and go on different notable objects, structures, monuments, etc. It adds lots and lots of zest.

So far throughout the course of my life, I've pissed on the STL arch, the Washington Monument, Wrigley Field, the Bean, on the side of the Empire State Building and other cool places. It's a great way to exert male dominance and I always have a laugh with myself after I overcome the initial embarrassment of being a complete asshole for not being able to control my kidneys and bladder. I have a fear of heights to overcome as well, but a life goal of mine is to piss over the side of the Grand Canyon, as well as on/in the Egyptian Pyramids.

One can dream.

I don't want to piss on anything that would get me canceled though. Getting canceled seems like a lot of work. I guess that means I will no longer travel to Hawaii to one day to piss off the summit of Mauna Kea. I respect people, cultures, and sacred places. Those are off limits.
