The $EBR Crew Group E World Cup Breakdown! Hurry And Bet This Before Zee Germans Come!
The $EBR crew is known to be a problem for the Barstool Sportsbook with our winning ways in European Hockey and the NHL mostly…but the World Cup is starting and running for a month which provides many things.
A. More action to get us through the workday.
B. Another opportunity to start building the bankroll for holiday present shopping.
C. Learn more about the most popular sport in the world.
This is a preview blog about the group format that starts off the tournament and we will give group winners with the odds from the Barstool Sportsbook. I may have not said this but I love football, it truly is a fantastic sport that allows you to zone out for 90 minutes without commercials and relax. Now I know the times in the states will be tough with the West coast having the early wake-up time at 5 am but come on it's the world cup.
This blog has something for everyone. Whether a gambler who only wants to win, a new fan of soccer looking to enjoy and learn, or an American who wants to see the boys make a run.
So enough already Murls let's get to it… EVERYBODY RIDES!!!
$EBR World Cup Group Preview - Group E
Spain -112: Always a team that is in the conversation to make a run on the international stage. Spain had a few down years but has transitioned to a new generation that plays very similarly to the old school. The team will complete 1500 passes a game and control the pace of play but they will have trouble with two teams in this group. The team needs a closer, who can score goals. Will it be the trio of youngsters? Pedri, Gavi and Torres?
Goal Scorer: Ferran Torres (Barcelona) He couldn’t have the impact at Man City most fans were hoping for but has seemed very comfy at Barca. This is his chance to put his name in the lights on the world's biggest stage. He relies on speed and back post runs.
Germany +115: Another team with a great history in the World Cup with 4 titles, but also a team in transition. They are currently moving away from the old-school German tactics and moving to a more creative style but they have struggled at times Ex. Euro 2020 crash out. They will rely on a great goalkeeper and sound defense to push the ball upfield to the speed they have up front.
Goal Scorer: Jamal Musala (Bayern Munich) The 19-year-old has 9 goals in the Bundesliga and will look to keep it rolling in the World Cup. If he scores goals, this team will be tough to beat.
Japan +1100: The Japanese are a well-coached and disciplined side that will have a high work rate throughout the 90 minutes. The lack of big-time experience will come to hurt this squad against the big 2 in the group. They are known as “Samurai Blue” and I can see them stealing a draw against a good team. They are fun to watch because they fly around the pitch. After playing in Japan for one season I always pull for any Japanese team.
Goal Scorer: Daichi Kamada, (Frankfurt) He was a hot name around transfer talk to move from Germany to the Premier League but said no go. He can score goals for sure and has the class to play anywhere in the world.
Costa Rica +7000: There is not much to say about this team but they will get beaten badly in all games. Look to bet the overs with this group. Fun fact: Costa Rica is a great vacation spot. That's about it.
Goal Scorer: Jewison Bennette (Sunderland) If he can have a breakout tourney look for him to get a pay raise or put him on loan to a bigger squad.
$EBR Group Winner: Germany, this will be close but they win on goal differential to win the group. We might see a Timo Werner sighting.
