LET'S GET WEIRD! Frontier Airlines Unveiled An All-You-Can-Fly Annual Pass For $599
(Source)- Frontier Airlines, which flies to 11 destinations from Cleveland, is selling a new all-you-can-fly annual pass -- but it comes with several caveats. The new GoWild! Pass carries an introductory price of $599, good through Thursday, and includes unlimited flights during a 12-month period, starting May 2.
Oh fuck yes. As a warm-blooded American who respects a great deal in this capitalistic country, nothing gets my motor going more than an All-You-Can promotion. It doesn't matter if you are flying in a plane, eating at a buffet, or watching movies at the theater as a company slowly blows through every penny they can get their hands on.
The OG MoviePass will forever be the gold standard for deals like this, at least until they started pulling shady shit out of their ass left and right. But this Frontier deal has even more potential. Not because you can go anywhere from sea to shining sea for 366 days (2024 is a Leap Year) for 600 bucks. But because of all the content Frontier creates on its flights. Here are a select few stories from the last handful of years:
Based on all the blogs I've read about Frontier along with the angry tweets from people bamboozled by them, Frontier running an All-You-Can-Fly promotion is like the MoviePass deal if the only movies you could watch were anything under 25% on Rotten Tomatoes and in a theater where you have to worry about getting shanked at any given moment.
Add in that these planes will be jam packed with bargain hunters that are likely the type of people that end up brawling in Black Friday videos over a $200 LED TV and we have a chance for an all-time great year of airplane brawls coming. Especially because these people will be paying a bunch of extra fees and not be able to fly on a whole lot of days due to blackouts.
There are numerous blackout days, however. And travelers can only book flights one day before departure – making it a bad choice for people who like to plan in advance.
In addition, the flights aren’t exactly free. While the fares are waived (except for a 1-cent charge), passengers are responsible for a portion of the taxes and fees, plus any costs for advanced seat assignments, luggage and other extras. Taxes and fees start at $14.60, according to the carrier. Add another $50 for a round-trip seat assignment or $100 for a carry-on bag.
Hopefully Elon can keep Twittar afloat for the next 18 months because, as Jim Ross says, business is about to pick up!
