Sam "Binky" aka Sam Bankman-Fried is a lot of things… a failed crypto founder, an orgy participant, a fat vegan, and (probably) a criminal.

Welp, now it appears that he's either A) a hostage or B) the biggest troll to ever do it.

(If you've gotten this far and are still wondering who Sam Bankman-Fried aka SBF is, I recapped his story last week).

During his spiral, Sam has used long Twitter threads to attempt to explain his actions/give half-hearted apologies. But his latest thread is some straight-up Zodiac killer shit.

It started yesterday with this…

Then about an hour later…

And throughout the day today…

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

This guy is one of the most hated people on earth at the moment. He's cost investors (sup, Tom Brady) and FTX users billions of dollars. And he might have been behind a hack that saw more than $400M in FTX funds go missing over the weekend.

And he's playing Scrabble on Twitter?

On Sunday The New York Times landed an interview with the dude who makes Bernie Madoff look like a stand up guy. It just so happens Binky tweeted out his first few cryptic tweets just before the interview began. Here's what he had to say when pressed on the matter…

New York Times - Shortly before the interview, Mr. Bankman-Fried had posted a cryptic tweet: the word “What.” Then he had tweeted the letter H. Asked to explain, Mr. Bankman-Fried said he planned to post the letter A and then the letter P. “It’s going to be more than one word,” he said. “I’m making it up as I go.”

So he was planning a series of cryptic tweets? “Something like that.”

But why? “I don’t know,” he said. “I’m improvising. I think it’s time.”

If you want more on the SBF shitstorm (and the other big stories of the day), I hopped on a quick pod to discuss all the biggest stories from today with the rest of the Barstool Finance guys…
