Noted Dumbass Matt Vasgersian Says The Braves Need To Trade Ronald Acuña Jr. If They're Going To Pay Dansby Swanson More Money Than Him

I've been on Twitter for the better part of a decade and in that time, I have seen some truly outrageous takes. But in terms of sheer stupidity and lack of any common sense, this is right there at the top.

Ronald Acuña Jr. hasn't seemed to have a problem with the Braves signing Austin Riley, Matt Olson, Charlie Morton and Marcell Ozuna (yuck) to contracts with higher AAVs than his, but Dansby Swanson is where the line gets drawn, apparently. I'm sure Ronald would demand a trade the second the longest-tenured player on the team and seemingly beloved teammate signed an extension to keep a championship core together. He definitely wouldn't want to be part of that.

But maybe Matt Vasgersian is right. After all, if the Braves were to get rid of Acuña, maybe they could even get a young generational superstar with MVP potential in return. Those don't grow on trees.

I really can't get over how stupid this take is. It's offensively dumb. Trading Acuña would be egregious enough to fire Alex Anthopoulos, even after he's built the best young core in baseball which will likely be competing for championships for the next several years. That's how terrible of a decision this would be.

The haters and losers in the national media do not want to see the Braves continue winning! Very sad!
