The Backstreet Boys Led A Tribute To Aaron Carter At Their Show Over The Weekend And There Was Not A Dry Eye In The House
Really sad stuff. Kevin led off the tribute by saying they've lost a member of their family; not just Nick's family, but the Backstreet family as a whole. He's right. The fact Nick Carter was still up there putting on a concert despite finding out his brother was found dead about 36 hours ahead of this, is strength in itself. I'd think that it'd be a good distraction, what he would have wanted, and an opportunity to be around people that love him; his bandmates, and the true fans. The group performed "Breathe" while they comforted Nick and images of Aaron played on the screen for the arena.
Ugh. Earlier in the night they also played "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely" and Nick had a hard time getting through it as well. Again, of course. I can't believe he was even able to perform. At the same time, I'm sure he's glad to have been able to honor his brother on such a big stage. Rest in peace Aaron :(
