Fresh Off Blasting 5 Homers, The Phillies Red Hot Offense Runs Into a Wall And Gets No-Hit In Game 4 Of The World Series

And that right there is how you steal momentum back. Just one night after getting their dicks kicked off 7-0 and being homered to death the Astros throw a combined no-hitter to beat the Phillies 5-0. Series tied up at 2 and it's a whole new series now. 

Philly had everything going their way headed into tonight and ran into a wall known as Cristian Javier and the Astros bullpen. Houston broke it open in the 5th with five runs and that was all they'd need because man oh man was their pitching good night. Just the second no-hitter in World Series history, got to give it up for the Astros staff. One night after the story all around sports was Lance McCullers Jr tipping the hell out of his pitches, they shut down a red hot Phillies offense for a season saving win. 

I'll just say it too, there was nothing too special about this no-no. Javier was really good, went 6 giving up 0 hits, 0 runs, 2 walks, 9 Ks. Bryan Abreu came in for an inning and struck out 3, Rafael Montero came in for a frame and struck out 1, and Ryan Pressly finished it off with a walk and a K. That's all she wrote. No big defensive play to save the no-no, no diving catch to end an inning, kind of just routine plays all night. Philly had been red hot but couldn't touch anything the Astros were throwing tonight. 

The no-hitter itself has lost some of it's luster, but a combined no-no in the World Series is pretty special. Def one of the biggest and best performances you will see from a team with their backs up against the wall. This easily could have gone the other way with Aaron Nola on the mound and the Astros on the ropes. They used a big inning to get in front and let the awesome pitching do the rest. Now it's a best of 3 series with 1 more in Philly before it shifts back to Houston. I have a feeling this is going 7. Hell of a game tonight to have the 2nd no-hitter in World Series history, unreal awesome performance by the Astros and their pen.
