The Newly Announced Adidas x Mighty Ducks Collab Is Fire!
Complex- Disney classic The Mighty Ducks turned 30 in October, and to celebrate, Adidas has unveiled two new limited-edition jerseys from the original movie.
Adidas Hockey called the Disney collab “30 years in the making.” In addition to the green and yellow of the Mighty Ducks, villainous types can don the black and blue of the rival Hawks. Both teams are also getting the sneaker treatment, with previously announced UltraBOOST 1.0 DNA collection bearing the team colours.
SICK! I'm not even a huge hockey guy, but these are pretty fire and I don't think that's debatable.
Now here's where I zag while most people zig. I actually think it's cooler to have the Hawks side of the release than the Mighty Ducks stuff. To be honest the Mighty Ducks stuff became very mainstream over the last 5-10 years. Seems like every Halloween group costume was The Mighty Ducks, or someone had that vintage green sweatshirt on St.Patrick's Day. Don't get me wrong it's cool. But when you talk rarity, you almost have to go Hawks here right?
Also add in the fact that the Hawks color scheme is sick, and those dudes were good villains. The Coach was an all time prick, the chanting pregame was intimidating, and they established a tradition of winning every year. Add it all up and you have a perfect group of bad guys. They owned it too and didn't shy away.
For my money, I'm taking the Hawks hoodie and kicks and not even thinking twice. I hope noted hockey guys Chief and Jordie back me up.
PS- Are they releasing any hats for bald men in their 40's? Asking for someone who's the furthest thing from a friend.
